Director of Project Management – Complex Engineering Projects

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for turning complex engineered solutions into well-executed deliveries? Join Frontmatec as Director of Project Management and spearhead transformational projects that make a measurable impact.

Leadership and transformation

In a newly created leadership position, you will report directly to the VP & General Manager, Meat Solutions EMEA and manage a team of experienced project managers overseeing international projects.

You have the end-to-end responsibility: From involvement in sales negotiations through engineering, production and commissioning, you will own the full project lifecycle. Setting clear targets, defining roles and responsibilities, and driving efficiency across timelines and budgets are core elements of the role.

Cross-functional collaboration is key. You build strong links with sales, finance, engineering and operations to ensure a seamless handover, risk assessment and execution. Expect to optimize processes, improve contract management, and participate in strategic reviews to drive profitability.

Leading change management will be a key part of your mission. You will define and refine project standards, processes, and guidelines, nurture a high-performing team, and occasionally manage major projects yourself.

Project management in complex settings

The right candidate has a track record of spearheading projects in an engineered to order context or similar.

You might hold a degree in engineering or marine engineering, but candidates with a strong project management track record from complex logistics or infrastructure projects are also welcome.

You have proven success managing large-scale, engineered-to-order projects in an international context. You understand the value chain from sales through commissioning, are adept at project controlling, and are comfortable with contract terms and risk management.

Building and motivating teams, fostering collaboration across departments, and acting decisively when quick action is required. A commercial mindset and business acumen are essential.

We are looking for an excellent relationship builder and communicator. You show a positive attitude and respect for all functions. Your approach is methodical and structured, yet adaptable when conditions are dynamic.

It is important that you are comfortable traveling regularly and working across cultures, and that you are fluent in English. Ideally located near Kolding. Copenhagen is an option, but then you will need to be present in Kolding and Tandslet regularly.

Strong influence of the core of the business

The Director of Project Management will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in the group as well as large, international customers. You shape a newly defined function and directly influence how projects are executed and improved.

Work on cutting-edge installations for professional customers around the world, interacting with colleagues across Europe and beyond are among the value propositions of the role.

Join at an exciting time of change with new profiles entering the organization, and with a clear ambition to grow and develop as a group. The position offers significant learning opportunities as you build and lead your team and transform project management.

If you’re ready to take charge, lead a capable team and drive change in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.
