Managing Director/Administrerende direktør

Reporting to the EVP EMEA you hold the full P/L responsibility of the Danish entity. You are spearheading a very successful, growing company with market leading value propositions and clear potential.

The role as Managing Director covers the entire value chain. You oversee implementing the local strategy for market development, developing the technological platform, managing operations, and after sales. Additionally, you contribute to business initiatives related to the EMEA region.

The Danish entity includes the three Sub Business Unit Directors as well as Finance, HR, R&D, Business Development, and Marketing function. R&D and Marketing are primarily driven from the German headquarter.

The main tasks are:

• Managing the overall operations and resources of the entity, with budget and P&L responsibility. You are responsible for expanding the business, driving profitability and securing focus on sales initiatives and markets.
• Accountable for order intake in the allocated markets.
• Representing the Danish business unit within the Supply Chain Automation Management.
• Collaborating across EMEA Region to achieve the global business objectives of Körber Supply Chain.
• Supporting the strategy definition of Körber Supply Chain and Körber Supply Chain Denmark. 
• Ensuring compliance with the corporate policies.

The leadership dimension also includes the specific guidance of the local management team. You set comprehensive goals, secure the right capabilities, and continuously develop both the skill portfolio and the organization of the business unit.

Commercial mindset and strong business acumen
The Managing Director needs to have a solid understanding of international business operations based on engineered solutions. You are a seasoned leader used to having P/L responsibility, and you have a natural drive to identify and pursue market opportunities. 

The general requirements for the role are:

• Profound experience in project-based businesses based on complex technology. In-depth understanding of risk management, mitigation, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Leadership experience, including personnel management across at least two hierarchical levels, and experience working within matrix structures.
• A commercial mindset and good understanding of customer needs and dynamics.
• Experience leading a larger organization, either within a company or as part of a corporate group.
• Financial insight, including knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning.
• Proficiency in analyzing project performance.

An on-site presence in Arden is a prerequisite.
