Regional Sales Manager

You are motivated by leading the sales effort within the area of Utility in the Nordic region

Badger Meter is an industry-leading innovator in flow measurement, water quality and control products, serving water utilities, municipalities, and commercial and industrial customers worldwide. 

As a Regional Sales Manager — the Nordic Region, you will be responsible for leading Badger Meter’s sales effort and motivating the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and expanding the customer base. 
 
You will report to the Senior Director Sales, Marketing and Business Development and in close collaboration with the team and the rest of the organization you will support Badger Meter’s Strategy. 

Your area of responsibility includes:
  • Responsible for leading Badger Meter’s sales effort within the area of Utility and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives
  • Responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and expanding the customer base
  • One direct report: A regional sales engineer

Some of your key tasks will be to: 
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets
  • Lead Badger Meter’s sales effort within defined target markets to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets, expand the customer base, and increase revenue streams
  • Assess and develop Key Accounts, channel partners to meet the regional and project demands
  • Increase brand awareness by improving communication with end users in collaboration with the company’s central marketing
  • Foster a collaborative and including team environment, promoting open communication, accountability, and a customer-centric mindset
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and preferences
  • Set individual and team sales targets, monitor progress, and provide coaching and feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to team members, empowering them to reach their full potential and drive exceptional results
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to capitalize on growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and other departments to optimize sales strategies and enhance the customer experience
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales and sales leadership

You have significant professional insight, great sales skills and you can execute

You have 10 years of professional experience and preferably experience and detailed knowledge in Utility Water, Flow Instrumentation, Flow Measurement and Flow Control and associated solutions. And you have the ability to effectively present the technical challenges and solutions of Badger Meter’s products. 

Furthermore, you have strong communication, networking and people management skills and can execute. You work systematically and structured and possess the ability and drive to engage, motivate, mentor and lead distributors, customers, and employees. You are business oriented, have relevant sales skills as well as the ability to translate sales strategy into concrete actions. Preferably, you have an educational background on bachelor’s degree level. Furthermore, you master English at negotiation level are willing to travel and have a proven track record in a similar role in a global/ European company. Experience with working abroad in an international context outside of Denmark is important.
