Project Manager – with potential to become Senior/Head of Software Team

Full responsibility for two highly skilled teams in the Mobile Software program. Key role in a product development organisation with 50+ colleagues in Denmark and Romania and with a clear task to take the organisation to the next level.

Key management role - lead one team and build a new team 
With report to the Program Director for SitaWare Mobile Products in the BU Defence, you will get a broad leadership role working with project management as well as people and stakeholder management. You will drive strategic initiatives and lead two development teams. The existing team consists of eight employees and three student workers based in Aarhus, while the other team you will have to build from scratch over time. 

You will be part of the Management Team in SitaWare Mobile Products alongside three peer colleagues, and you have the overall responsibility for the product development and maintenance of the interfaces and communication technology and features in the Mobile Products. The Mobile organisation is manned by Software Developers, Architects, Scrum Masters, and Project Managers working in cross-functional teams.

Your focus will be to ensure and create value by delivering product development on time, to the right quality and within budget. You will get a key role and your primary tasks will be to: 

• Set a clear direction and goals and structure for each team, which are required to enable the growth and development of the organisation in line with customer requirements and future functionalities.
• Manage, motivate, and develop employees, leading by example and ensuring the teams' satisfaction, competencies, and capacity.
• Function as a close sparring partner to the Project and Program Managers in the department.
• Lead project management for the development of features ensuring scope, cost, and quality delivery.
• Provide reports regularly and address issues on an ad hoc basis.

Experience as a Project Manager or Team Lead with leadership skills
You have experience working in a medium to large company that is mature in software/IT development, so you know “what good looks like”. You have leadership skills and you have worked in a project team with coaching, development, and motivation of employees. In addition, you have experience with project management from a dynamic environment and experience with PMI/PMP or similar. You must be able to act successfully in collaborating with other Product Development teams and ensure solutions of high quality. You speak and write English at negotiation level, and we assume that you hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. 

You are structured, trustworthy and adept at building relationships. You are a well-founded communicator, who can efficiently make the case at eye level, and you have a pragmatic approach to problem solving. As a leader you are performance driven, where you set the bar high and have a well-developed business understanding. You possess empathy and are motivated by building a new team and taking an organisation to the next level. It is essential that you can chart a course, drive change, and rally your team.
