In 2022, Frontmatec Group was acquired by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) a leading American investment firm with an investment portfolio of over 700 companies worldwide. Following the acquisition, KKR established Fortifi – a dedicated FoodTech division focused on acquiring and developing companies within the industry. Within Fortifi, Frontmatec Group is the largest company with 20 offices worldwide and approx. 1,200 employees of a total of 2,000 in Fortifi. The turnover of Frontmatec Group is approx. DKK 1.5 billion and is headquartered in Kolding.
Group Financial Controller
Key role in Group Finance in a global company with a financially strong owner and clear growth prospects for the future. Focus is on cash flow management, financial reporting, transfer pricing and ad hoc tasks.
For an exciting role, we are looking for a strong financial profile who can apply his/her financial expertise and influence the business. You will join a competent Group Finance Team and report to the Senior Financial Controller. Together you will be a team of two working with treasury, cash flow management, month-end closing, insurance, transfer pricing and budgeting. Group Finance is responsible for the overall consolidation at Group level for the approx. 20 offices worldwide. Transactional tasks are handled by the Shared Service Centre in Romania, which is naturally a close partner in daily operations.
You will have a role focused on analyzing financial figures and identifying internal correlations to understand the broader financial picture and make corrections if anything is missing or deviates. In this monthly process you are reaching out to the subsidiaries to request explanations, clarify inconsistencies, and collaboratively resolve any issues. The focus in the business is on continuous development and improvement of financial processes and internal controls, streamlining workflows, and increasing overall efficiency and reliability.
It is important that you take ownership of the cash flow management process and deliver timely and accurate consolidate monthly reports that consistently meets internal deadlines and quality standards. Your success depends critically on being hands-on and detail-orientated, embracing change as well as having excellent analytical and communication skills.
Your key tasks will be to:
- Finish implementation and expand new Cashflow reporting system to enhance treasury management.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital to support business growth objectives.
- Develop and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and consolidate the weekly cash flow for the Frontmatec Group.
- Consolidate monthly reports and have ongoing dialogues with Finance Directors and VP Finance explaining the key figures.
- Develop and maintain USGAAP for the subsidiaries.
- Month-end closing and reporting for the two holding companies.
- Collaborate closely with Director FP&A in the reporting process to the top management team.
- Contribute to the annual audit process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage guarantees across all entities to ensure compliance with customer agreements.
- Prepare annual transfer pricing documentation for the Frontmatec Group.
- Support finance-related decision-making through data-driven insights and analyses.
You will collaborate with both Danish and international contacts, and the overall perspective is highly international.
You are expected to take ownership of your tasks and independently drive various initiatives. Your immediate manager has a delegating leadership style based on trust and openness. This independence is combined with ample opportunities for professional sparring in your day-to-day work.
Ambitious profile with experience in finance, controlling or auditing
You hold a master’s degree in Auditing, Finance or Economics and have a solid command of the “classic” financial disciplines of accounting, controlling, and reporting. You have experience with cash flow reporting and preparation and preferably knowledge of US GAAP.
You may currently be working as a Financial Controller – either at group level or within a subsidiary – or in a treasury function. Alternatively, you may come directly from an auditing background and are ready to take the next step into a finance role in industry. It is important that you have an international mindset and experience working in or with medium-sized or large companies with a group structure. You are highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
You possess strong system skills and are proficient in Excel and with a consolidation system.
As a person you are used to work independently and analytically while also executing tasks in a hands-on manner. Moreover, you are characterised by your ability to prioritise and create structure and overview. You take pride in delivering high-quality work on time and thrive in a dynamic environment characterized by change and a strong professional standard
