Vice President FX & Derivatives

– part of Capital Market in Bankdata

You will get the overall responsibility for managing and developing the FXD area with the Murex platform. You have strong leadership and stakeholder management skills combined with knowledge within the capital markets and experience with vendor management.

You will report directly to the SVP of Capital Markets and be responsible for an area that gets strong attention from both top management and customers. Your focus will be on driving continuous development through effective leadership, employee growth, and broad stakeholder management, both internally and externally with member banks. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape strategic initiatives and manage suppliers and projects, while also overseeing day-to-day operations in close collaboration with your skilled management team.

The FXD area is currently undergoing a transformation, following Accenture’s takeover of the daily operations of the capital markets platform MX.3 by Murex in late January 2025. MX.3 is an essential and critical solution for the member banks in relation to trade, exchange and hedge investments for Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I). In this VP role, you will play a key part in establishing and nurturing strong relationships with both Accenture and Murex. It is essential that you work closely with them to deliver cohesive, user-friendly solutions that uphold a high standard of service and system uptime. At the same time, you will be responsible for driving the development of services that meet stringent regulatory requirements within risk, security, reporting and compliance needs.

You will lead a highly skilled organisation and be part of the extended executive leadership team across Bankdata. Your employees are based in Aarhus, Silkeborg and Fredericia and you will lead two Senior Managers and have multiple stakeholders in the member banks and at Accenture.

Your key tasks will be to:

• Set and drive the strategic agenda for the area.
• Work closely with suppliers and the member banks to ensure effective and solid solutions that partly match customer needs and partly ensure that you are one step ahead of developments in the market.
• Operational leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the FXD area ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with business requirements.
• Mentor and develop the existing leadership team and build a leadership/talent pipeline.
• Be a proactive part in the Product Group “Handel & Afvikling” in close collaboration with the member banks. 
• Act as Partner for the SVP and the member banks within the area.
• Be a strong opinion former within the FXD product development and technology area.
• Manage the department’s finances, including budgeting and forecasting, and the area’s agenda within risk, compliance and security activities. 

Your success will depend on your ability to navigate an environment where regulatory demands are a daily reality and that you manage to create strong collaborations. 

Strong leadership profile with solid experience in Capital Markets or Energy Trading 
You have substantial business insight into the field of capital markets and risk management, where it is an advantage if you have worked with FX or Derivatives areas. Alternatively, you have experience from a VP or Director position in Energy or Commodity Trading. Or perhaps, you are in Private Banking, Consultancy or in a Treasury Department in a large corporation.

You have experience with vendor/supplier management, where you have negotiated contracts and terms as well as managed the day-to-day business with an outsourcing partner.   

You excel in stakeholder management in a broad business perspective and your business experience comes from medium to large companies that are mature in the Trading and Risk Management field. This background ensures you are accustomed to operating within a similar business model and understand what excellence looks like in that context.  

Further, you have leadership experience and are a manager who naturally coaches and guides your team. You have experience with project management and knowledge of IT deliveries and technologies; however, the technical aspect is not the primary focus. Above all, it is your business expertise within capital markets/trading that is most critical.

We expect that you hold a relevant bachelor's or master’s degree for instance in Economics, Engineering or IT/Computer Science or you might be educated in a bank. Ultimately, it is your experience and personality that will be the decisive factors.
