The business unit — Meat Solutions Europe — operates across the full value chain, with production facilities in Denmark, Romania, and Holland. The business is partly based on integrated turnkey solutions/projects and partly on the sale of stand-alone machines, modifications, and services. In 2024, Meat Solutions Europe achieved a turnover of approximately DKK 500 million and approx. 300 employees.

Business Controller

Business controlling, business analysis, and driving the budgeting and forecasting processes in close collaboration with Business Managers in the Aftermarket & Service area and the OEM project area. Reporting directly to the VP Finance of the business unit - Meat Solutions Europe - you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate controlling, with a strong focus on building solid collaborations within the organisation and supporting key business stakeholders with relevant financial data.

You will be part of an experienced Finance team based locally in Denmark, and you will also have colleagues throughout Europe. This is an internationally oriented company with a matrix structure, which emphasizes the importance of excellent stakeholder management skills.

Your key tasks will be to: 

  • Perform various financial and business analyses, including gross margin analysis, profitability calculations, productivity and efficiency analyses, and pricing scenario evaluations. 
  • Manage networking capital by analysing and improving key drivers such as inventory optimization and customer/supplier management.
  • Support Business Managers in data-driven decision making.
  • Support the Project Controller and the Finance Business Partner with business analyses, ensuring accurate financial follow-up and risk management.
  • Structure and optimize the data foundation using BI tools and data cubes, contributing to a more simplified and standardised data setup.
  • Support the month-end closing process to ensure timely and reliable reporting. 
  • Drive finance projects across the organisation.


You will collaborate with both Danish and international contacts, and the overall perspective is highly international.

Your success will depend on using your strong business acumen and analytical skills to support and qualify decision-making within the company. Data, analyses, and business cases will form the foundation for your recommendations to management and the business.

You are expected to take ownership of your tasks and independently drive various initiatives. Your immediate manager has a delegating leadership style based on trust and openness. This independence is combined with ample opportunities for professional sparring in your day-to-day work.

Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills 
You have a relevant business education at master’s level and a few years of experience in a similar role, where you have worked with business controlling, business analysis, and supported Business Managers within the organisation. You possess strong business acumen and have experience with BI systems, as well as being a superuser in Excel.

You have probably gained your experience in a medium-sized/large manufacturing or project-oriented company. As the company is part of an international group, it is important that you speak and write English at a high level and possess an international mindset.

You are used to working independently and analytically while also executing tasks in a hands-on manner. Moreover, you are characterised by your ability to prioritise and create structure and overview. You take pride in delivering high-quality work on time and thrive in a dynamic environment characterized by change and a strong professional standard.
