FP&A Controller

Be part of the development in a large international group 

You will report to the Senior Group Finance Manager and be part of the Finance department, consisting of 13 employees in Vejle. 

As FP&A Controller you will be the driving force behind the annual budget process along with quarterly forecasts including consolidation and provide high-quality and timely reporting (budget and forecast) to key stakeholders.

One of your primary tasks will be to build a model for collecting and consolidating data input from various sources. 

Likewise, you will play a leading role in optimizing processes and tools. In other words, implement ”new ways of working”; meaning identifying and structuring processes and principles based on IT and further digitalization.

In this position, you will have close contact with PMI Group Finance and the local budget and forecast responsible, hence why it is important to establish a cooperation, that will run smoothly, efficiently, and live up to policies and guidelines.

Other tasks are to:
  • Act as the primary contact and gate keeper for information requests from HQ in relation to budgets and forecasts
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that their expectations and needs are managed and identify efficiencies where possible
  • Assist the other Finance Controllers in preparing financial closing and reporting (monthly and year-end) 
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with SOX and other internal controls
Experience with consolidating Budget & Forecast 
To be successful in the role, you have relevant working experience, preferably in an international environment, where you have worked with FP&A tasks and obtained experience consolidating group financials regarding budgeting and forecasting.

You have most likely tried building a model for collecting and consolidating data input from various sources or at least sufficient knowledge and skills to build this. 

Ideally you have experience with interacting as a financial sparring partner with business controlling, local finance managers in group subsidiaries as well as stakeholders across all levels of the organization. 

You are experienced with operations and business-oriented analyses and understand how to convert complex data into easily understandable reports and present these to the management.

Advanced IT and communication skills
You hold a relevant higher education at minimum bachelor level, but preferably cand.merc.aud. or HD(R) and is probably already in a Finance department. You possess strong analytical skills, just as you understand how to divide problems into relevant parts, securing quality in the details while keeping a general view of your deliverables.

You have a proactive and structured work approach, and you are curious about the business behind the numbers. You will utilize your curiosity and knowledge to challenge the status quo, thereby contributing to optimizing processes and systems. 

Hence, we expect that you have advanced IT skills within finance related systems such as ERP, consolidation systems, data warehouse and MS Excel – especially strong Excel skills as much of the work and modelling is done in Excel.

You have an extroverted personality, that is collaborative and team-oriented and able to exercise stakeholder management in relation to international colleagues and thus possess the ability to communicate at all levels, manage conflicting priorities and influence change.
