Business Controller – Saint-Gobain Nordic & Baltic

Do you have flair for numbers and business and are you the kind of person that thrives in an international environment? Then you have the opportunity to become a part of the Worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction

With reference to the Head of Controlling, you will be co-responsible for business controlling of the Saint-Gobain Nordic & Baltic cluster (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Baltic countries).

You will become part of the finance team and work closely together with the Head of Controlling on month-end reports and in supporting and monitoring the performance of business processes. You will also have broad contact with various stakeholders and become a sparring partner for the business units within the cluster.

Your primary tasks will include ensuring reliability of the business units’ financial reporting according to corporate standards and accounting procedures. You will collaborate in the processes of the Nordic & Baltic Cluster monthly closing and participate in monthly CFO calls. You will also support the S&OP process, evaluate business cases, and take part in the Plan, Budget, and Forecasts processes in coordination with the other departments.

You will become a success in this role if you showcase quality and on-time reporting, and also an open mind and genuine curiosity while also demonstrating your ability to challenge your colleagues in a constructive manner. You take part in securing a more forward-looking and business-oriented approach in the finance department. You integrate naturally in the team and spend time networking and socializing with both the team and your colleagues within the Saint-Gobain organization.

A business-oriented mindset
You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience from a similar role and you might have a relevant financial education e.g., HD-R or cand. merc. You understand the basics about the rules of accounting, and you possess PowerPoint skills and are an Excel superuser. Having knowledge of SAP and experience with Microsoft Power BI would be advantageous, but not a requirement.

As a person you are analytical, and data driven while being proactive with a willingness to learn. You pride yourself of your attention to detail and showcase a pragmatic attitude with a hands-on approach. Most important is that you are motivated by being more business-oriented rather than having heavy financial focus.
