Global responsibility – business development and commercial results
The Aftermarket Director reports to the CEO and you become a member of the global sales management and leads the international aftermarket sales team of 6 employees.

You have full P/L responsibility for each market and customer, and you are directly in charge of the ongoing development and growth of Vestas Aircoil’s aftermarket business.

Today only a small part of Vestas Aircoil’s revenue derives from the aftermarket business including spare parts, service contracts and upgrades. This business unit plays a significant role in the strategy of the group going forward, and there is a massive potential in this market.

This is a challenging role that offers you a central position in an international company. You deal with large professional customers, primarily in the Power and Marine segments, and you work in a global perspective. For the right candidate there are great opportunities for professional as well as personal development.

The job
Your main tasks are:
  • Analyse global market potential for business development
  • Identify key competitive parameters for each market, customer type and industries and prepare and execute business plan for each geographical area and customer
  • Establish and develop Vestas Aircoil’s business presence in the US/Canadian Power and Marine market through direct sales to engine operators and agents/distributors.
  • Increase Vestas Aircoil’s current EU based business based on systematic and customer specific account management
  • Identify, select and develop a global network of highly performing agents and distributors capable of delivering on the commercial targets we define
  • Building strong internal and external relations
Your profile
You have experience with business development within an industrial company selling customized solutions and you have good experience from developing new markets and sales through agents and distributors.

Your experience comes from working in professional international setups, preferably in companies, where Aftermarket and service have been a strategic and growing part of the business.

You probably have a commercial education with good technical understanding and experience OR you have technical education with a successful commercial experience. You are an ambitious person who is eager to make the best in your job and your strong commercial mindset has helped you create solid results in your career. Maybe you come from a larger organisation being the “number two” person in the Aftermarket Business and you want to step up to be the “number one” person in a smaller organisation.

Vestas Aircoil is a non-hierarchic organisation with no big support functions. This means that you work very hands-on with your own tasks and takes personal responsibility for every single big and small issue relating to business development of the Aftermarket Business.

You are used to travelling and working globally and benefit from your understanding of different cultures.

You are fluent in English, orally as well as in writing other languages are a plus. The job offers great flexibility regarding work place and it will be possible to work from home anywhere in Europe. You should expect approx. +100 travelling days per year.
