A statement from the American consulting firm Brand Finance has announced Tulip the 15th most valuable Danish brand, and in the latest measurement where motivation, commitment and employee satisfaction are documented, TFC was placed significantly higher than the general labour market.

Commercial Director, Europe
Strong international commercial profile
Tulip Food Company has formed an ambitious growth plan for the coming years which includes securing greater value creation. You will report to the Senior Vice President Europe and be responsible for several European markets with a total turnover of approx. DKK 500 mill. You will manage and deliver a significant growth programme for Tulip’s processed products and Develop selected markets that are either growing or still have unidentified potential. You will be part of the management team for TFC Europe, and three Country Managers located in the respective markets as well as one Export Manager will report directly to you.
You identify the potential and execute the strategy
You participate in selected customer meetings to get a feel for customer and market needs and with the acquired knowledge you develop strategic business plans for the market area. You also make annual category plans for strategic categories on the main markets. In addition, your key tasks include:
- Identifying, selecting and prioritising market efforts including preparation of substantiated and clear business plans
- Daily management and motivation of international business unit
- Continuously ensure optimal organisation, so that competence and resources in the department match the objective
- Structure the approach to markets with unidentified potential
- Facilitate best practice category approach across subsidiaries
- Ensure focus in the respective sales channels for strategic categories, including ongoing alignment / follow-up with the respective business units
- Facilitate organisational knowledge sharing and best practice within the business area
- Continuous preparation of management reporting material
- Ensure optimal and value-creating collaboration across the value chain, including supply chain
Absolutely crucial to succeed is your commercial flair and execution power, which is based on sharp priorities (Where and How) among many opportunities.
Result-oriented commercial manager who is enthusiastic about development
You have experience with direct sales to European retail chains and solid commercial experience from a medium or large FMCG organisation. You are accustomed to working conceptually with categories in an international context, you have experience with preparation of business plans / strategies in an international context and you have acquired international management experience. You master English at negotiation level. You have a higher commercial education at master's level (eg, MSc or MBA).
You are result-oriented and have solid merchant skills giving you a natural close feeling for the market and customers. You have execution power, are robust and have good negotiating skills. You are curious and humble about others’ contributions. You are systematic, analytical and persistent. You are extrovert, capable of building and maintaining relationships, and trustworthy as a leader - both internally and externally. At the same time, it is essential that you are courageous, enterprising and that you are passionate about development.
