Senior Director, IT & Digital

Faerch is looking for a Senior Director, IT & Digital to lead and further develop the global IT & Digital function and support the company’s continued digital transformation.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a scalable, secure, and business-oriented foundation that supports operational efficiency, data security, and customer satisfaction through cutting-edge technology and digital solutions.

A key leadership role in Faerch’s digital transformation
In this role, you will be responsible for the continued professionalization of Faerch’s global IT function, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure stability, uptime, data integrity and security, governance, and operational excellence.

You will lead an organization of ~55 employees located across several European markets, including a management team of three direct reports, while also being responsible for the IT budget ownership and spend management across the function. In addition, you will report directly to the Global CFO and be given the mandate to position Global IT & Digital as a strategic business partner to support the execution of the new strategy.

A key priority in this regard will be to accelerate the roll-out of M3 Cloud across Faerch’s factories and ensure that the ERP programme is managed, structured, and implemented as a global transformation. At the same time, you will be responsible for ensuring stable operations, high uptime, strong cyber security, and a simplified application landscape.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the transition of the ERP system from a project-based implementation to a structured global programme in close collaboration with key functional leaders.
  • Ensuring high operational reliability across business-critical systems and production environments.
  • Strengthening maturity and governance within cyber security across the global IT landscape.
  • Defining and maturing Faerch’s AI and digital agenda, including relevant use cases across the organization.
  • Maintaining a responsive and efficient service desk that effectively addresses user needs and resolves technical issues promptly.
  • Leading and motivating the IT organization, ensuring strong engagement, clear direction, and effective collaboration across disciplines and locations.
  • Strengthening Global IT as a trusted business partner through alignment with stakeholders, and digital solutions that support operational and commercial priorities.

Who are you?
We are looking for an experienced IT leader who can strike a balance between strategic transformation and stable day-to-day operations. You bring a solid technical foundation and a proven track record of leading complex digital initiatives in international organizations – ideally from manufacturing companies or other operationally intensive environments with multiple sites and a high reliance on stable systems.

You have experience leading geographically dispersed digital teams across a range of disciplines and thrive in a role that involves setting the direction, creating structure, and ensuring progress. At the same time, you have a strong business acumen that enables you to translate business needs into effective solutions and value-creating initiatives. Furthermore, you are able to translate complex technological agendas into clear priorities that both specialists, managers, and senior stakeholders can understand and act upon.

Personally, you are a visionary and results-oriented individual with a genuine passion for technology, innovation and business impact. You are able to constructively challenge existing working methods with a view to driving improvements. As a leader, you are collaborative, build trust easily, and know how to foster engagement in daily operations.
