Our client designs, manufactures and sells technical solutions on the global market. We are dealing with custom made, semi-finished products which are integrated in the customer’s value chain. The sales processes can be compared with OEM sales and are characterized by a long initial phase for onboarding the customer and a following element of developing the customer. 

The company is an SME sized company with international appearance. The Danish headquarter is situated in central Jutland.

International Key Account Manager

Technical solutions – Strategic accounts – Business development
For a newly defined role we are looking for a Key Account Manager to spearhead the sales of a strategically important range of products. You report to the Sales Director and will be a member of a very skilled and professional Sales team.

Your job is to develop a portfolio of important customers as well as identify new business opportunities. The job offers a variation of:

  • sales meetings to strengthen relations
  • visits to segment-related trade fairs
  • design of solutions and formulation of the related proposals
  • close collaboration with the customers’ technical department

You mainly have European customers, and you shall expect 50 days of traveling per year.

You thrive on interacting with the customer

Your theoretical background is at bachelor’s level or higher. You find motivation in the close dialogue with the customers and enjoy building relations and getting engaged in your customers’ business. You have a strong commercial mindset, and you are able to develop the business at a tactic/strategic level. You thrive well being part of a truly international environment.

The products are fairly complex, and you need to have a basic technical understanding. Also, a certain level of experience with and understanding of Product Management disciplines is appreciated. It is therefore important that you manage the technical discussions and find motivation in dealing with details and specifications. Fluency in English is a prerequisite, and you also are comfortable with having business meetings in German.

You remain calm and keep focus – even if things are hectic. A certain element of persistency is also preferred.
